Lowell: The Flowering City-Garden Tour

“City Roots” will conduct a  self-guided walking tour of downtown gardens and a select group of neighborhood gardens in an effort to bring attention to the botanical wonders of the city.

The challenge for downtown businesses, starting now, is to create and maintain  a store front garden area for the season.   Some ideas would be window boxes, hanging plants, front entry gardens and tree pits.

The challenge for neighborhood groups, starting now, is to select and maintain one garden that will be showcased in the tour
