{"id":40,"date":"2013-07-05T19:21:00","date_gmt":"2013-07-05T19:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ldna01852.org\/?p=40"},"modified":"2013-07-05T19:21:00","modified_gmt":"2013-07-05T19:21:00","slug":"beat-the-heat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ldna01852.org\/?p=40","title":{"rendered":"Beat the Heat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>In response to today\u2019s heat advisory Manager Lynch has directed that the following actions taken to help residents cope with this unusual and early heat wave.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><span><span>Pools and splash pad\u2014The McPherson Park and South      Common pools as well as the Merrimack River Rynne Beach and the Shedd Park      splash pad will be open until 8 p.m. today and tomorrow.\n<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span>Senior Center\u2014air conditioned facility will be open to      all residents until 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow until noon.\u00a0 Water      and ice available.\n<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><span>Misting stations\u2014have been set up at Hadley Field on      Middlesex Street and at Fr. Maguire Park.\u00a0 These will be on      throughout the weekend.\n<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><span>Residents are urged to take advantage of these services and to keep an eye out for their neighbors who may be vulnerable to heat related health issues.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><b><span>Henri B.
