The Bucket Brigade Teams are the<\/span> <\/span>backbone<\/span><\/u> of our fundraising.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

<\/span>
What is the Bucket Brigade? The<\/span> <\/span>Lowell Folk Festival<\/span><\/strong><\/i>is the<\/span> <\/span><\/u>largest free folk festival in the country<\/span><\/u>and attracts over 150,000 people during the weekend.\u00a0 It takes over $1 million to operate the Festival and it is supported through sponsorships as well as sales and donations during the Festival weekend.\u00a0 The<\/span> <\/span><\/u>Bucket Brigade Teams<\/span><\/u> are the backbone of our fundraising efforts, collecting donations from our generous, happy festival attendees.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>
<\/span>
A Bucket Brigade Team is assigned to each of the five stages and stage areas.\u00a0 They will wear our sponsored brightly colored t-shirts and distribute colorful<\/span> <\/span><\/u>stickers<\/span><\/u> when a donation is placed in the bucket.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/u><\/span>
<\/span>
A Team Captain will be designated by each team.\u00a0 Each Team Captain is encouraged to promote their group or company\u2019s involvement at the Festival by doing a \u201cstage ask\u201d. A \u201cstage ask\u201d is an opportunity to introduce the team to the audience, tell why they felt it was important to be involved in this event and to encourage the audience to make a donation when passing the buckets.<\/span><\/span>

\u00a0<\/span>Bucket Brigade Team Requirements:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/u>
<\/span>
\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Teams are made up of 6 or 8 co-workers or members of an organized group (over 18 years)<\/span><\/span>
<\/span>
\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>4 hour shift commitment \u2013 includes check-in time<\/span><\/span>
<\/span>
\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Teams will sign in \u00bd hour prior to shift<\/span><\/span>
<\/span>
\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Each team will designate a Team Captain who will communicate with the Bucket Brigade Coordinator\u00a0 before and during event via cell phone \u2013 full, detailed instructions will be given to each Team Captain<\/span><\/span>

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Copies of picture id are required for each member of the team along with the application<\/span><\/span>

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Team Captains are required to attend Orientation meeting <\/span><\/span>
<\/span>
\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Teams will wear authorized Bucket Brigade t-shirt<\/span><\/span>
