The<\/span><i><strong><span> <\/span><span>Lowell Folk Festival<\/span><\/strong><\/i><span>is the<\/span><u><span> <\/span><\/u><u><span>largest free folk festival in the country<\/span><\/u><span>and attracts over 150,000 people during the weekend.\u00a0 It takes over $1 million to operate the Festival and it is supported through sponsorships as well as sales and donations during the Festival weekend.\u00a0 The<\/span><u><span> <\/span><\/u><u><span>Bucket Brigade Teams<\/span><\/u><span> are the backbone of our fundraising efforts, collecting donations from our generous, happy festival attendees.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><br \/><span> <\/span><br \/><span><span>A Bucket Brigade Team is assigned to each of the five stages and stage areas.\u00a0 They will wear our sponsored brightly colored t-shirts and distribute colorful<\/span><u><span> <\/span><\/u><u><span>stickers<\/span><\/u><span> when a donation is placed in the bucket.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><u><span> <\/span><\/u><\/span><br \/><span> <\/span><br \/><span><span>A Team Captain will be designated by each team.\u00a0 Each Team Captain is encouraged to promote their group or company\u2019s involvement at the Festival by doing a \u201cstage ask\u201d.
