Car Break-ins

It appears the police have arrested our car break-in culprit… thankfully!
I have heard on Monday police arrested this person at 305 Dutton; they think this is the person responsible for at least 30 break-ins.
If anyone sees a red mustang with Virginia plates lurking around…call police and report “a suspicious car”, give them the plate if possible.

Next LDNA meeting is scheduled for October 26th. We are holding a city council candidate forum at the Senior Center on Broadway. I will send more details soon.

LDNA Meeting

As always, big THANKS to our Treasurer/stand-in secretary/most prolific blogger member Greg Page. He has posted notes from last nights LDNA meeting on his “New Englander” blog.
There are also links to the UMASS “Arts and Ideas” newsletter which contains the schedule for the Lunchtime Seminars and The Baystate Marathon.
I’ll add that I like the idea of LDNA putting together a small group of volunteers for this event. Anyone that is interested, please let me know next week (September 9th).

If you did not happen to read the Globe this morning (which I had not until Susan Purdy sent along this article) there’s a great article about the North End Residents Council…it’s like reading LDNA minutes multiplied…

They also have a blog which resembles something like Boston.com more than what you would expect from a neighborhood asscociation. http://www.northendwaterfront.com/

CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE FORUM

I thought I would take a quick look at see if anyone had posted any comments about the CNAG City Council Candidate Forum… this is not going to be quick after all…
